In StaffAny, you can control whether the full time × rate formula is displayed on employee payslips. When the full formula is shown, employees can see the exact breakdown, for example, 8 hours × $25.00 × 1.5 instead of just the summarised amount. This setting applies to all Time × Rate pay items across all payroll types (SG, MY, ID, Global)
This guide will cover how to:
Enable or Disable Full Pay Item Formula in Payslip
Go to Settings > Payroll > Scroll down to the Payslip Setting section.
Check or uncheck View Full Pay Item Formula in Payslip.
If unchecked, then payslip will show only the final time and rate values.
Example: 10 hours × $100.00If checked, then Payslip will show full pay item time and rate formula calculation
Example: (10 – 2) hours × $50.00 × 2
Click Save.
Notes:
Only Owners can change this setting.
The default state is off (formula is hidden; summarised amount is shown).
This setting applies across all payroll types: SG, MY, ID, and Global.
If a payslip has already been Published, changing this setting will not update that payslip. The change applies to payslips that have not yet been published.
Fixed Amount pay items are not affected by this toggle. If a fixed amount pay item has a proration, the proration breakdown will continue to appear on the payslip regardless of this setting.
FAQ
Q: I updated the setting but the payslip still shows the old formula format. Why?
A: This setting only applies to payslips that have not yet been published. If the payslip status is Published, you cannot update the formula display retroactively. Finalised and pending payment payslips can still be updated before they are published.
Q: Does this setting affect the payslip for all employees?
A: Yes. This is an organisation-level setting that applies to all employees' payslips when the payrun is generated or re-generated before publishing.
Q: I cannot find the Payslip Setting section. What should I check?
A: The Payslip Setting section is visible when the combined payslip feature is enabled for your organisation. Contact your StaffAny account manager if the section is not visible.
