This article will explain to you how to set up the integration with Xero and push your payroll data from StaffAny to Xero.

This guide will cover the following:


Connecting to Xero

To establish the connection with Xero,

1) Go to Settings > Integrations > Xero.

2) Select “Xero Organisations” > “Connect to a new Xero Organisation”.

3) Log into Xero and select a Xero Organisation that you want to connect to.

4) Once connected, you will see the Xero Organisation is connected to StaffAny.


Mapping Business Entities to Xero’s Organisations

After establishing the connection between StaffAny and Xero, you need to map Business Entities to Xero’s organisations.

1) Select “Mapping”.

2) Select a Xero organisation to map to StaffAny’s Business Entity.

3) Click “Save” when you are done with the mapping.

4) After mapping, the “Map Chart of Accounts” button will appear under the “Action” column.


Mapping Pay Items to Xero’s Chart of Accounts

After mapping business entities, you need to map the Pay Items to Xero’s Charts of Accounts.

1) Select “Map Chart of Accounts”.

2) Map each Pay Item to the Xero’s Expense and Liability accounts.

These are the suggested accounts to map to each Pay Item.

3) Click “Save” once you are done with mapping the chart of accounts.


Pushing Payroll data to Xero’s Manual Journal

To push payroll data to Xero, ensure that you have finalised the pay items in the pay run.

1) In the payroll, click “Push to Xero”.

2) A popup window will appear that shows the list of Xero Organisations that the payroll data will be pushed to. Click “Confirm” to proceed.

Note: Payroll data will be pushed to the respective Xero Organisations if there are 2 or more entities.

3) On Xero, a manual journal with the payroll data will be created.

Note: These manual journals will be set as a draft on Xero by default.
