Leave Calendar helps owners, managers, and supervisors turn leave data into a practical planning view. Instead of checking leave requests one by one, you can scan the month, filter the calendar to the right team, and click a leave event or summary chip to open a daily breakdown — confirming who is away, what type of leave is involved, and whether each record is approved, assigned, or still pending.
Leave Calendar is available for all StaffAny customers on both web and mobile.
This guide will cover how to:
Accessing the Leave Calendar
Whenever a leave has an assigned, approved, or pending status, it will be displayed on the Leave Calendar. Rejected leave applications do not appear in the calendar.
On web: Go to the Leave tab and select Leave Calendar from the leave menu.
Leave Calendar is only available in month view.
Owners and managers can access the Leave Calendar on web. Supervisors and staff are limited to mobile app access.
On mobile: Go to More, scroll down, and tap Leave Calendar under Your Organisation.
Understand what the calendar shows
Each leave record appears as a colour-coded chip inside the relevant day.
Each chip shows the staff member name and the leave type.
Pending leaves are shown with a yellow chip.
Approved and Assigned leaves are shown with a green chip.
Pending leaves are now listed individually in the calendar cell — each pending leave has its own chip, so you can see exactly who has a leave awaiting approval without clicking into a summary.
If a day contains more leave records than can fit in the cell, a summary chip such as +X more appears.
Empty date cells cannot be clicked.

Click any leave chip or the summary chip (+X more) to open the full daily breakdown for that date. From the popover you can view leave details and take action on pending leaves.
Using Filters
Use the filter bar to narrow the calendar view before planning schedules or reviewing team coverage.
On web, you can filter by:
Month — navigate to any past or future month.
Section — filter to one or more outlet/sections using a checkbox dropdown. Select all or clear all with one click.
Leave Type — filter to specific leave types using a checkbox dropdown.
Status — filter by Approved, Assigned, or Pending using a checkbox dropdown.
Staff — search for a specific staff member.
Accepting/Declining Pending Leaves from Leave Calendar
Click on any pending leave chip (yellow) to open a popover where you can accept or decline the leave. You can also click the summary chip (+X more or X Pending) to open the full breakdown and act on multiple leaves at once.
FAQ
Q: Why can I only see some employees in the calendar?
A: The Leave Calendar shows your own leave records plus staff who are tagged in the same section as you. Use the Section filter to switch between sections.
Q: Are rejected leave applications shown in the Leave Calendar?
A: No. Rejected leave applications are excluded from the Leave Calendar.
Q: Do filters stay saved after I refresh the page?
A: The month selection is reflected in the URL. Section, leave type, status, and staff filters are not persisted in the URL and will reset after a page refresh.
Q: Can I act on leave requests directly from the calendar?
A: Yes. Click any pending leave chip (yellow) on web to open the approval popover. On mobile, tap the leave entry in the date details view.
