After finalising payroll and creating a payment, you can download a GIRO bank file to submit salary transfers to your bank. You can select today, a past date, or a future date as the value date. This gives you flexibility to backdate salary transfers when needed.
This guide will cover how to:
Download Bank File
Before downloading a bank file, ensure the payrun has been finalised and a payment has been created. Download the GIRO bank file from the Payments page.
Go to Payroll > Payments.
Find the payment for the payroll you want to process.
Click Download Bank Files.
In the modal, select the Value Date for the bank file. You can select today, a past date, or a future date. Weekend dates are not available.
Click Download Bank Files to generate and save the file. A .zip file containing all bank files for your business entity will be downloaded to your device.

FAQ
Can I select today's date or a past date as the value date?
Yes. You can select today, a past date, or a future date as the value date, as long as it is not a weekend. This allows you to backdate salary transfers when needed.
Why is the value date picker not available?
The value date picker only appears when the bank file type is GIRO. Malaysia Payroll uses GIRO by default for all supported banks.
What happens if I select a weekend date?
Weekend dates (Saturday and Sunday) are disabled in the value date picker. Select a weekday instead.
