This guide will cover the following:

Authorising StaffAny Access to Google Business

Important: Before you begin, please ensure:

  • The google email that you intend to use, has OWNER or MANAGER access on Google Business Profile.

  • The email should also have access to ALL Google business profiles to ensure that all of the entities can be mapped on StaffAny. You may follow this instruction guide from Google.

Follow the following steps to create a new challenge (Owners only):

1) Go to Settings > Integrations.

2) Select Google.

3) Select “Authorise”. A small window will appear for you to log into your Google Business account.

4) Log in with your desired Google Business account.

5) StaffAny will request access to your Google Business account. Select “Allow”.

6) StaffAny will request access to your Google Business account. Select “Allow”.

Note: StaffAny will only see your Google business listings, other settings will not be touched

Note: In some cases, you are required to check to allow StaffAny to see, edit, create and delete your Google business listings. Please check to allow the permissions.

7) Once the integration is completed, you will see the following. This is where you will need to map each Google Business Profile to each StaffAny section.

Note: If you add or remove a new Google Business Profile on your Google Business account and re-authorise StaffAny access to your Google Business account, the change will also be reflected here.

Mapping Google Business Profiles to StaffAny Sections

Once the integration is completed, you need to map each Google Business Profile to each StaffAny section. This will help to associate the reviews pulled from the profiles to the correct sections.

To map, simply choose the section in the dropdown provided to the correct profile.

Once you have mapped all the profiles to the sections, you can start creating the Customer Review Challenge. Learn more about it here!

Troubleshooting

1. Cannot integrate with Google successfully

The integration with Google was not successful likely because permissions were not allowed during the authorisation flow.

Please follow the steps below to retry the integration set up:

  1. Click on "Authorise" button on Google integration page

  2. Select the email with the correct access to the Google Business Profiles

  3. Allow StaffAny to "see, edit, create and delete your Google business listings"

    1. Note: StaffAny will only see your Google business listings, other settings will not be touched

2. All Google Business Profiles are not shown in StaffAny

All Google Business Profiles are not showing as intended in StaffAny because the email used to authorise the integration does not have access to all Google Business Profiles.

Please follow the steps below to retry the integration set up:

  1. Close the Google authorisation tab/page

  2. Follow this guide to remove third party access for StaffAny from the existing Google account

  3. Update us via the help chat once you have completed the step and we will help to do a check to clean up data on our end

  4. In the meantime, please ensure that the email should have access to ALL Google business profiles to ensure that all of the entities can be mapped on StaffAny. You may follow this instruction guide from Google.

  5. Once we have helped to clean up the data, you may go to the Google Integration page to retry the integration set up. Please ensure that you use the email with the correct access to the Google Business Profiles
