How do I view an employee's payslip before or after publishing the payroll?

Once you've got your payroll sorted and published, you can view the employee’s payslip. You can also view the payslip before publishing the payroll but the payment date will be shown as “Unpublished”.

How to View and Download Employees' Payslip

  1. To view an employee's payslip, click on the Payroll menu and go to Payroll List. Then select the payroll and click on the View Payroll button where you will be directed to the Payroll Summary page.

  2. Locate the employee whose payslip you want to view.

  3. On the far right of the employee's row, click on the View Payslip button.
    Note: If you cannot see the button, it might be hidden beyond the right edge of the screen. Scroll to the right until you see the button.

  4. You will be directed to a new window or tab to view the employee's payslip. You can also download the payslip by clicking on the Save button on the top-right corner.


How to Download All Payslips

  1. Upon publishing the payroll, on the Payroll List page, select the payroll and click on the Download All Payslips button.

  2. All the payslips will be zipped into one file and downloaded immediately.

You can also download all the payslips before publishing the payroll:

  1. On the Payroll List page, select the payroll and click on the Download All Payslips button.

  2. A confirmation modal will appear and then click on the Download Anyway button.

  3. All the payslips will be zipped into one file and downloaded immediately.

If you have not published the payroll, all the payment dates in the payslips will be shown as “Unpublished”.

To resolve this, you can publish the payroll and download all the payslips again. By publishing the payroll, the payslips will be distributed to the employees.


Frequently Asked Questions on View and Download Employee's payslips

Q: Why does the pay date show “unpublished” in the employee’s payslip?

A: The pay date in the payslip might show "unpublished" if the payroll status is still "Pending”. This means the payslip is not yet published. Check back on the payslip later after the payroll is published. Learn more on How to Publish Payroll here.

Q: Why does the timesheet period show “-” in the employee’s payslip?

A: Timesheet period is not required in adhoc payrolls, so you may not see a timesheet period listed on the employee's payslip.
