This article will explain the Monthly Sales Target Goal Type in more detail. Learn more about Creating and Tracking Challenges here.

This guide will cover the following:

Monthly Sales Target

Incentivise your staff to work towards hitting the outlet’s monthly sales target. The target and actual sales data will be based on the Sales vs. Labour Hours report and automatically sync to the challenge. If actual sales for the month are equal to or more than target sales, the goal is achieved. If actual sales for the month is less than target sales, the goal is not achieved. Learn how to update Sales Target and Target Sales in SPLH.

Configuring Time Setting

Only monthly recurrence is supported for this challenge goal type.

Setting Up Reward Setting & Milestone(s)

When configuring the Reward Settings of this goal type, you can choose to

  • Set minimum work hours that staff are supposed to complete before they can qualify for the reward.

Note: The work hours highlighted here is based on the hours worked of the selected section(s). In addition, this also counts paid leaves for that selected section(s).

  • Set reward split to ensure everyone gets their fair share of the success pie

    • If there is no reward split, staff will be individually rewarded a fixed number of coins for every participating section that hit the sales target

      • If you set up multi milestones, then staff will be individually rewarded a fixed number of coins depending on which milestone they achieved.

  • If reward split is enabled, a pool of coins will be awarded to every participating section that hit the sales target and the coin pool will be split among staff based on the number of hours they have worked for the month.

    • If you set up multi milestones, the pool of coins that will be awarded depends on which milestone that the section achieved.

  • For example:
The Reward Pool is 1000 coins and participants’ worked 255 hours in total.

    • Staff A worked 150 hours, coins received by staff A = (1000 coins / 255 total worked hours) x 150 hours = 588 coins (rounded down)

    • Staff B worked 65 hours, coins received by staff A = (1000 coins / 255 total worked hours) x 65 hours = 254 coins (rounded down)

    • Staff C worked 40 hours, coins received by staff A = (1000 coins / 255 total worked hours) x 40 hours = 156 coins (rounded down)

Note: Coin values with decimal place will always be rounded down

  • If minimum work hours qualifier is also enabled, reward will be split based on the QUALIFIED number of worked hours they worked if the sales target has been achieved.

    • For example:
The Reward Pool is 1000 coins and minimum work hours is complete is 50 hours. Based on the same example above, only staff A and B are qualified to receive the reward. Hence the total qualified hours is 215 (150+65) hours.

      • Staff A worked 150 hours, coins received by staff A = (1000 coins / 215 total worked hours) x 150 hours = 697 coins (rounded down)

      • Staff B worked 65 hours, coins received by staff A = (1000 coins / 215 total worked hours) x 65 hours = 302 coins (rounded down)

      • Staff C did not hit the min work hours hence they will receive 0 coins
