There are different types of notifications within the settings of the Web app that can aid your daily operations. This article will talk about the different kinds of notifications you can utilize.
This guide will cover the following topics:
To access notifications in the Web App
Go to “Settings” > Click on “Notifications”
Shift Reminder
Set up a notification to remind staff of their upcoming shift on their smartphones. You can customise when to send the reminder up to 24 hours in advance.
To enable “Shift Reminders”
Check the box under “Shift Reminders” > Set the duration > Click Save
Clock in notifications
Use this feature to remind your staff to clock in when they report for their shift.
Send staff clock in reminders before the shift starts
This reminder reduces the chance of staff forgetting to clock in, affecting the timesheet data. StaffAny will send a reminder to your staff 10mins before their shift starts.
The timing to send the reminder before the shift starts is not customisable at the moment. Do let us know your preferences on the feature by sending us your feedback on intercom.

Sending notifications to staff if they are late
Sometimes, your staff could have forgotten to clock in their scheduled shift when they arrive at their workplace. With the clock in notification set up, a reminder will be automatically sent to your staff if they have yet to do so.
To enable this setting:
Check the box for “Notify Staff when they are late to clock in shifts by X minutes” > Set the number of minutes you would wish to remind your staff > Click “Save”
We will provide a recommended timing based on your late clock in allowance settings. This is to ensure that there will be enough time for them to clock in before the system will mark them as late.
The colour of the recommended timing will change if the minutes entered exceeds the recommended time

Notify section owners and managers when staff are late to clock in shifts
When staff clock in late for work, Section owners and managers will receive a notification. This helps the management to stay updated for easier staff management and manpower allocation. The default timing for receiving these notifications is when staff is late by 1 min.

Clock out notifications
This feature helps to remind your staff to clock out when they finish their shift.
Send clock out reminders to staff before shift ends
The system will send clock out notifications to your staff 10 minutes before their shift ends. This helps staff remind staff to clock out and prevent them from incurring extra working hours on their timesheet.
This reminder is not customisable at the moment. Do let us know your preferences on the feature by sending us your feedback on intercom.

Sending notifications to staff if they forgot to clock out when the shift has ended
when an employee forgets to clock out at the end of their shift, they will receive a notification on their smartphone, reminding them to do so. This helps create more accurate timesheets.
You can choose to send a notification to the employee based on how late they are.
To enable this setting:
Check the box for “Notify staff who have not clocked out within <X> minutes after shift end time” > Set the number of minutes you would wish to remind your staff > Click “Save”

Start Break Reminder
This feature helps to remind your staff to take their break on time based on the scheduled break timings.
To enable this feature:
Check the box for “Send staff start break reminders” > Set the number of minutes before the break starts to send out the reminder > Click “Save”.

This feature helps to remind your staff to end their break on time based on the scheduled break timings.
To enable this feature:
Check the box for “Send staff end break reminders” > Set the number of minutes before the break starts to send out the reminder > Click “Save”.

Covid-19 Reminder
This feature helps to remind your staff to do their part in testing regularly for COVID-19, ensuring the safety of the workplace and the staff that works there.
Enabling this setting will send owners and managers a reminder to self-conduct COVID-19 testing. You can also set the frequency of how often to receive such reminders.
To enable this feature:
Check the box for “Remind owners and managers to conduct COVID-19 testing for staff every <x> days” > Set the number of days you would wish to receive the reminder > Click “Save”
