Leave Submission Validation
When you submit a leave request, StaffAny checks your balance and existing leaves to prevent over-requests and flag overlaps. These checks apply to all leave types including Annual Leave and Off-In-Lieu (OIL).
Over-Request Prevention
The system checks your Requested Days + Pending Days against your Remaining Balance as of the last date in your leave request. If the combined total exceeds your available balance, the submission will be blocked.
Example:
Remaining balance on 15 June: 4 days
Existing pending leaves in that year: 2 days
Remaining allowed leave: 2 days
Submitting 3 days (13, 14, 15 June) → Blocked with an error message
Submitting 2 days (13 and 15 June) → Allowed
Overlap Warning
If your requested dates overlap with any existing approved or pending leave, you will see a warning before submitting.
Example:
Existing leaves: approved leave on 20 May, pending leave on 21–23 May
Applying 20–21 May → Warning shown
Applying 23–25 May → Warning shown
Applying 24–26 May → Allowed (no overlap)
