The Challenges modules on EngageAny allow you to gamify your workplace, making it more engaging for your staff. Completing challenges will reward your staff with coins which they can use to redeem rewards. Read more about it here.

This article aims to educate you on the various challenges that you can create and monitor with the “Create Your Own” Challenge. To learn more about how to set up a challenge, click here.

Sales Challenge

Want to increase the sales of an outlet through simple actions such as selling a number of promotional items? Set this challenge up and see your staff’s productivity increase!

Step 1: General Information

Challenge Name

Eg. “Sell 10 Xmas Promotional Items and Get Rewarded!!”

Challenge Description

Eg. “The holiday season is here and we are striving to hit an all-time sales figure and selling Xmas promotional items will help with that! Sell 10 promotional items and get rewarded!”

Recurring Challenge

Depending on your organization's workflow and requirements. If this is a one-off challenge, toggle “Recurring Challenge” OFF.

If this is either recurring Weekly or Monthly, toggle “Recurring Challenge” ON and select either Weekly or Monthly.

Step 2: Goal & Rewards Settings

Goal Type

“Create your own challenge”

Proof Type

Select “Proof + Remarks”

Reward Type

“Coin”

Coins Awarded

Based on your organisation's requirements.

Step 3: Select Participants

Participants

All staff in that outlet.

At the end of the month, the Manager or Owners can check how many promotional items are sold by each staff and approve those who have hit the goal of the sales challenge.

Google Review

Incentivise your outlet based on Google Reviews that the outlet has received. This motivates on-the-ground staff to get customers to leave google reviews.

Step 1: General Information

Challenge Name

Eg. “Get 5 Five-Star Google Review for this month!!”

Challenge Description

Eg. “Get a 5 Five Star Google Reviews for ABC Outlet and get rewarded!”

Recurring Challenge

Depending on your organisation workflow and requirement. If this is a one off challenge, toggle “Recurring Challenge” OFF.

If this is either recurring Weekly or Monthly, toggle “Recurring Challenge” ON and select either Weekly or Monthly.

Step 2: Goal & Rewards Settings

Goal Type

“Create your own challenge”

Proof Type

Based on your organisation requirements

Reward Type

“Coin”

Coins Awarded

Based on your organisation requirements.

Step 3: Select Participants

Participants

All staff in that outlet.

At the end of the month, Manager or Owners will check Google Reviews to see if the number of Five Star Reviews match the goal of the challenge. If it hits the target, they can approve all the participants and they will receive the coins promptly.

Customer Compliments

Incentivise your staff who received customer compliments and make their day by setting up this challenge. Staff will be more determined to provide the best customer service for the patrons!

Step 1: General Information

Challenge Name

Eg. “Get Compliments, Get Rewarded!!”

Challenge Description

Eg. “Get 5 good compliments for this week and get rewarded for it!!”

Recurring Challenge

Depending on your organisation workflow and requirement. If this is a one off challenge, toggle “Recurring Challenge” OFF.

If this is either recurring Weekly or Monthly, toggle “Recurring Challenge” ON and select either Weekly or Monthly.

Step 3: Select Participants

Participants

All customer facing staff.

When the outlet manager or supervisors received enough good compliments about a staff, they can approve the staff and they will receive the coins upon approval.

Passing a Test

If you plan to incentivise staff for passing a test, you can follow the set up example below.

Step 1: General Information

Challenge Name

Eg. “Get more than 90% for Barista Test!”

Challenge Description

Eg. “Get a score of 90% or more for the Barista test and get rewarded with coins!”

Recurring Challenge

Depending on your organisation workflow and requirement. If this is a one off challenge, toggle “Recurring Challenge” OFF.

Step 2: Goal & Rewards Settings

Goal Type

“Create your own challenge”

Proof Type

Select “Photo + Remarks”

Reward Type

“Coin”

Coins Awarded

Based on your organisation requirements.

Step 3: Select Participants

Participants

For staff who are participating in that test.

Once the staff has completed their test, they can upload a picture of the test score as part of the submission. Owners or managers can approve those submission that hit the goal of the challenge and reject those who did not attained the required score to get rewarded.

Attendance and Completion of a Workshop

You can keep track of your staff who are attending a workshop and request staff to submit the workshop certification upon completion of the workshop.

Step 1: General Information

Challenge Name

Eg. “Complete Food Preparation Workshop!”

Challenge Description

Eg. “Complete the Food Preparation Workshop and submit a photo of the certificate to get coins!”

Recurring Challenge

Depending on your organisation workflow and requirement. If this is a one off challenge, toggle “Recurring Challenge” OFF.

Step 2: Goal & Rewards Settings

Select “Photo + Remarks”

Reward Type

Step 3: Select Participants

Participants

For staff who are participating in the workshop..

Once the staff has completed the workshop and attained their certification, they can upload a picture of the certificate as part of the submission. Owners or managers can approve those submission and reward the participants who completed the workshop.

Hygiene Challenge

Run a Hygiene challenge to maintain the hygiene standards of your outlet.

Step 1: General Information

Challenge Name

Eg. “Outlet Hygiene Challenge”

Challenge Description

Eg. “Get rewarded for keeping the outlet clean! Make sure to clean the dining area, kitchen and the toilet!”

Recurring Challenge

Recommend to select “Weekly” to ensure that the cleanliness is up to standard on a weekly basis.

Staff on the ground must submit a photo of the outlet’s cleanliness as proof. Owners/managers will approve or reject the photo submission based on whether the hygiene standards are met.
